I have been in Morocco for a few days now. What an experience. Our tour guide has been excellent about helping us find the right places to shoot. It doesn't hurt that Najat (from Photo Quest Adventures) speaks fluent Arabic. However, the Moroccans' language is Berber, which happens to be a mix of Arabic, French and Berber. I can pick up on a few words, but a lot of it is over my head. LOL!

On day three, we stopped at an old mosque and made some lit portraits using Nikon speed lights. Our subject was our ever-patient guide, Redouame.
The people here have lovely faces...
So do the camels.... LOL! Someone needs a dental plan!
We stopped at a tradition Berber house and had some mint tea too...
I loved the house and had to make some portraits. I was so inspired, I busted out some lights and put some colored gels on too.
We had to jam because we had other places to be, but I think for a quick set-up, the lit portrait turned out well.
I had a photo review with the Questers' and their work is really good. I plan to share their pics with you very soon. Plus, I'll be posted day 3 & 4 from our trip soon. However, we are driving into the desert today and spending the night in tents. So I won't have internet. Stay tuned for the time being... more to come!
